Takeji Iwamiya

Takeji Iwamiya (岩宮 武二, Iwamiya Takeji^?, 1920 - 1989) Fue un fotógrafo japonés particularmente conocido por sus diseños en la arquitectura, jardines, y artesanías japonesas.^[1]​

Carrera

Iwamiya nació el 4 de enero de 1920 en Yonago, Tottori, segundo hijo del matrimonio, la familia tenía una tienda de repostería tradicional. El tío de Iwmaiya tenía un estudio de fotografía comercial, y esto despertó el interés del niño sobre la fotografía; en la escuela fue un jugador de béisbol. Después de graduarse trabajó Hankyu Department Store en Umeda (Osaka), donde entró al Mitsuwa club fotografía (ミツワ写真クラブ, Mitsuya shashin kurabu), dirigido por Bizan Ueda y Nakaji Yasui. Tras el éxito en un concurso al club de fotografía organizado por Asahi Shinbun, Iwamiya fue invitado a unirse a Tampei Photography Club y paso a convertires en un asistente de Yasui. Se unió a los Nankai Hawks en 1939, se retiró después de medio año y en 1941 fue enviado a Manchukuo como fotógrafo.

Iwamiya regresó a Japón antes de finalizar la guerra, y después de la guerra abrió una tienda de revelado que sirve una base estadounidense de Sannomiya (Kobe). Mientras se recupera de la tuberculosis en 1954, fotografió una fábrica de maniquíes en Osaka; estás forografías ganaron la medalla de oro en el segundo concurso de Fotografía Fuji, y fueron exhibidos en la Galería de Matsushima (松島ギャラリー, Matsushima gyararī) en Ginza (Tokyo), como primer espectáculo en solitario de Iwamiya. También exhibió en Alemania Occidental, y en todo este tiempo conoció a Ken Domon, quien ejerció una gran influencia en él. En 1955 se creó Iwamiya Fotos (岩宮フォトス, Iwamiya fotosu) para la fotografía comercial. Las fotografías de Iwamiya de la Sado isla se exhibieron en el Osaka Fuji foto Salon y en otros lugares en 1956; esto más tarde aparecerá como libro.

Dos de sus aprendices de Iwamiya pasaron hacer fotógrafos profesionales por derecho propios. Seiryū Inoue se unió al estudio de Iwamiya en 1951 y fue animado por Iwamiya en su trabajo fotográfico en Kamagasaki. Daidō Moriyamase unió al estudio de Iwamiya en 1959 y fue tomada bajo el ala de Inoue hasta la salida de Moriyama de Tokio en 1961.

Desde 1962, Iwamiya saco un número considerable de libros, en su mayoría representan la artesanía y la arquitectura japonesa; varios premios ganados. En 1966 se convirtió en profesor de la Osaka University of Arts.

Iwamiya murió en Osaka el 26 junio de 1989.
