El decir que en el fondo, de tus hundidos ojos,
será venganza amarga y elogio innecesario.
¡Qué halago más valdría, al usar tu belleza,
si responder pudieras: «Este hermoso hijo mío,
ha de saldar mi cuenta y excusará mi estado»,
mostrándose heredero, de tu propia belleza!
Será cual renovarte, cuando te encuentres viejo
y ver tu sangre ardiente, cuando la sientas fría.[1]
