Hybrid Synergy Drive
Hybrid Synergy Drive, (HSD) es un conjunto de tecnologías para vehículos híbridos desarrolladas por Toyota y utilizado en los automóviles Toyota Prius, Toyota Auris HSD, Highlander Hybrid, Camry Hybrid, Lexus RX 400h, Lexus GS 450h y Lexus LS 600h/LS 600hL.[1][2][3] La tecnología también es utilizada en el Nissan Altima Hybrid. Combina la propulsión eléctrica con la transmisión variable continua. La tecnología Synergy Drive es un sistema de control electrónico sin conexiones mecánicas entre el motor y los controles del motor, tanto el acelerador como la palanca de cambio, ya que en un vehículo HSD el control computarizado solo recibe señales eléctricas.[4][5][6][7][8]
El Toyota Prius utiliza la tecnología Hybrid Synergy Drive.
